William Henry Davis Sr., 91, of Bedford Ave., died Oct. 24, 1996, in a local hospital.
Born in Princess Anne County, he was the widower of Florence Blassingham Davis. He was a member of Larchmont United Methodist Church and the Bible class. Also he was a member of Corinthian Masonic Lodge (NU)266 A.F. & A.M. Norfolk Scottish Rite Bodies and Khedive Temple of the Shrine.
Survivors include his grandchildren, Joyce D. Zatarain and Leslie D. Warner, both of Mobile, Ala., Stephanie T. Little of Colonial Heights, Va., Elizabeth A. Davis and Margaret M. Ferry, both of Portsmouth; and two nieces. He was predeceased by his son, William Henry Davis, Jr.
A graveside service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday in Forest Lawn Cemetery by Dr. Jerry O. Campbell. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8 p.m. today in Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Tidewater Drive Chapel. The family suggests memorial donations may be made to Larchmont United Methodist Church or to Lee's Friends. Masonic rites will be accorded at the graveside.
