Frederic K. Butler, 81, died Oct. 25, 1996.
A manager for Western Union for 42 years, Mr. Butler was a Realtor with Century 21 for 10 years. He was also a native of Saluda, S.C., and a Baptist.
Survivors include his wife, Pauline Butler of Chesapeake; two sons, Kenneth Butler of Hampton and Keith Butler of Chesapeake; a sister, Helen M. Moncrief of Augusta, Ga.; a brother, R. Oscar Butler of Johnston, S.C.; five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
A graveside funeral will be conducted at 3 p.m. today in Woodlawn Memorial Gardens by Dr. Paul C. Lawson. Smith and Williams Funeral Home, Norfolk Chapel, is in charge. The family will receive friends in the funeral home from 1 to 2 p.m. today.
