The Virginia Women Attorneys Association has endorsed Judge Gwendolyn L. Jackson of General District Court as ``highly recommended'' for a vacancy on Circuit Court.
The association endorsed two candidates as ``recommended'': Troy R. Spencer and Judge William P. Williams of General District Court. The association rated three as ``qualified'': Carter B.S. Furr, I. Lionel Hancock and Arthur A. Lovisi.
The judgeship came open last month when Judge Luther Edmonds resigned. His replacement will be appointed by Gov. George Allen. The announcement is expected by the end of next week. From staff and wire reports
