Katherine Phillips Hoggard, 89, of the 600 block of Maryland Ave. died Oct. 24, 1996, in a local hospital.
A Norfolk native, she was a manager at Compeco Cleaners with 20 years service before her retirement 11 years ago.
Survivors include her daughter, Julia H. Coppedge of Virginia Beach; sons, Fletcher C. Hoggard Jr. of Ocracoke Island, N.C., James R. Hoggard of Richmond and William E. Hoggard of Virginia Beach; 13 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
A church service will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday in Charity United Methodist Church, 4080 Charity Neck Road, Virginia Beach, by the Rev. Talmadge T. Markham Jr. Burial will be in Colonial Grove Memorial Park, Virginia Beach. A family visitation will be at 2040 Malbon Road, Virginia Beach, from 2 to 5 p.m. today at Maestas Funeral Home, Baltic Ave. Chapel, from 7 to 8 p.m. Memorial donations may be made to the Virginia Beach Rescue Squad Inc., P.O. Box 945, Virginia Beach, Va. 23451.
