LYNNE MORTON GREAT BRIDGE WOMAN'S CLUB ACTIVIST

Lynne Morton was attracted to the Great Bridge Woman's Club because of the organization's service to the community.

``I like knowing that I've helped give back some of what I've received,'' said Morton.

This year she is the club's corresponding secretary. She is also co-chairman of the Ways and Means Committee, which is involved in helping organize the club's 13th annual arts and crafts show, which will be held Nov. 2 and 3 at the Great Bridge Community Center on Holt Drive.

``This is definitely not a one-man effort,'' she said. ``A lot of people are participating in this craft show.

``We try to put the fair on with as little cost to the club as possible so that we can make as much money as possible. All the hard work is worth it so we can provide scholarships for Great Bridge High School seniors.''

During the holiday season, the committee will work toward ensuring a successful holiday home tour in the Greenbrier area.
