LYDIA B. BOONE

Lydia B. Boone of the 1000 block of Kennedy St. died Oct. 25, 1996, in DePaul Hospital.

A native of Camden County, N.C., Mrs. Boone was the widow of Melvin H. Boone and a Baptist. She worked in cosmetology and was a dry cleaner.

Survivors include her daughter, Kathy D. Jones of Lithonia, Ga.; sons, Larry L. Boone, Daniel Boone and Gary Boone, all of Norfolk; sisters, Eunice Barco Curtis and Audrey B. Jackson, both of Chesapeake; brothers, Maurice Barco and Solomon Barco, both of Chesapeake; four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.

A graveside funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Tuesday in Roosevelt Memorial Park by Dr. Thomas Venable. Carlos A. Howard Funeral Home, Norfolk Chapel, is in charge. The remains will be ready for viewing at 3 p.m. Monday. The family will assemble at the home at 10 a.m. for the processional.
