Rebecca Ward Morrison, 92, of the 5500 block of Town Point Road died Oct. 25, 1996, in Maryview Hospital, Portsmouth.
A native of Cambridge, Md., Mrs. Morrison was the widow of Elder James W. Morrison and a member of Church of God-Saints of Christ, Belleville, Suffolk. She was a retired singer and a member of Daughters of Jerusalem and Sisters of Mercy, and a retired Mother of Sarah of Gary, Ind., Tabernacle.
Survivors include a sister, Dorothy Jackson of Cambridge; and a host of grandchildren, including Evangelist David Morrison and Freddie Jordan; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, in-laws, nurses, friends and godchildren, including Darrell A. Lee and Joe C. Lee.
A funeral will be conducted at 7 p.m. Monday in Church of Gods-Saints of Christ Tabernacle, Belleville, Suffolk, by Evangelist C.C. Farrar. Burial will be Tuesday at 9 a.m. in Belleville Cemetery, Suffolk. Corprew Funeral Home, Portsmouth, is in charge. The family will be at her residence. ILLUSTRATION: Photo
