Vernon L. Mills, 56, of the 1400 block of Cavalier Blvd., died Oct. 24, 1996, in Maryview Hospital, Portsmouth.
He was a native of Portsmouth.
Survivors include his wife, Irene Mills; a foster daughter, Tammy Cobb of Portsmouth; sons Vernon Mills Jr. and Curtis Mills, both of Portsmouth; two brothers; four grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.
A funeral service will be conducted at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday in Corprew Funeral Home Chapel, Portsmouth, by the Rev. George H. Spicer. Burial will be in Lincoln Memorial Cemetery, Portsmouth. Viewing at the funeral home will begin at 10 a.m. Monday.
