Mary B. Minns of the 1400 block of Reynard Crescent died Oct. 26, 1996.
A native of Princess Anne County, Mrs. Minns was the widow of George W. Minns and a member of Mount Zion AME Church, Virginia Beach. She was a member of the B.W. Club, Class Leader and B.W.C. course. She was also a past worthy matron, Order of the Eastern Star Ruth Chapter (NU)119, and a member of United Order of Tents Queen Elizabeth (NU)240.
Survivors include her son, E. George Minns; a sister, Geneva O. Wills of Virginia Beach; a brother, Wallace C. Owens of New York; a grandchild, George W. Minns II; and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
A funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. Wednesday in Mount Zion AME Church by the Rev. Larry S. Hinton. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Community Funeral Home is in charge. The family will be at 236 Shipps Lane, Virginia Beach. ILLUSTRATION: Photo
