Annie Doris Rouse, 55, died Oct. 27, 1996.
A native of Lenoir County, N.C., Mrs. Rouse was director of Residential Care at Sentara Village, Chesapeake. She was a member of Providence Baptist Church and a former member of Grace Baptist Church, Virginia Beach.
Survivors include her husband, Herbert T. Rouse; a daughter, Melissa Lynne Stevens and husband, William Paul Stevens Sr. of Jacksonville, Fla.; a son, Jeffrey Thomas Rouse and wife, Theresa Miller Rouse of Charlotte, N.C.; sisters, Nell Williams of Kinston, N.C., Evelyn Stanley of Raleigh, N.C., and Carol Bray of Broussard, La.; brothers, John Clements Jr. and Alton Clements, both of Grifton, N.C.; grandsons, John Thomas Rouse of Charlotte, William Paul Stevens Jr. of Jacksonville and Alexander Paul Rouse of Charlotte.
The body will be sent from Smith & Williams Funeral Home, Kempsville Chapel, Virginia Beach, to Howard-Carter and Stroud Funeral Home, Kinston, for funeral service and burial.
