G. Grady Seaford, 77, of the 9100 block of Overcash Road died Oct. 27, 1996, in Cabarrus Memorial Hospital.
Mr. Seaford was born in Cabarrus County on Jan. 21, 1919. He was a retired salesman at Yorke and Wadsworth Hardware Store and an active member at Gilwood Presbyterian Church, where he was an elder and deacon. He was a veteran of World War II and served aboard oceangoing merchant ships in the U.S. Merchant Marine. He was a member of American Legion Post 51.
He was predeceased by his parents, Ernest P. and Fannie Lyerly Seaford.
Survivors include his wife, Ruth Buff Seaford; sons, Rodney W. Seaford of Charlotte, N.C., and Phillip D. Seaford of Virginia Beach; and six grandchildren.
A funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday in Gilwood Presbyterian Church by Dr. James C. Goodloe IV. Burial will be in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. today in Wilkinson Funeral Home, Concord, and will be at the home at other times. Memorials are suggested to the Gilwood Presbyterian Building Fund, Phase 3, 2993 Odell School Road, Concord, N.C. 28027.
