Doris Anna Rice, 65, of the 5200 block of Morris Neck Road died Oct. 26, 1996, in Sentara Leigh Hospital.
A native of Beloit, Wis., Mrs. Rice was a Protestant and a former member of Diamond Springs Christian Church, Virginia Beach. She was a homemaker and a retired beautician.
Survivors include her husband, Dennis H. Rice; a daughter, Jennifer Williams and her husband, Kelly, of Virginia Beach; her mother, Della L. Mittelsteadt of Beloit; brothers, Floyd Karty and Bill Karty, both of Rockford, Ill.; a sister-in-law, Mary Karty of Rockford; two granddaughters, Jessica and Jena Williams of Virginia Beach. She was predeceased by her father, William Karty.
A funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. Wednesday in Smith and Williams Funeral Home, Kempsville Chapel, by the Rev. Joseph E. Brewer. Burial will be in Woodlawn Memorial Gardens. Friends may join the family at the funeral home from 7 to 8:30 p.m. today. Contributions may be made to Creeds Rescue Squad.
