Lina Nett Casper, 79, known as Nett, of the 2000 block of Amsterdam Ave., died Oct. 27, 1996, in a local hospital.
A native of Fayetteville, N.C., she retired after 20 years of service as a caterer at New York University. She was the widow of Willie Lee Casper Sr. and a member of St. Luke Methodist Church, New York, N.Y.
Survivors include a daughter, Betty Toadvine Moore of Bronx, N.Y.; sons, Willie L. Casper Jr. of Chesapeake, Evander B. Casper of New York, and Edward L. Casper of Queens, N.Y.; 10 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren; and a host of relatives and friends.
A funeral will be held at 7 p.m. Thursday in New York by the Rev. Frank Emanuel. Burial will be in Bronx, N.Y. Owens Funeral Home, New York, is in charge. Information submitted by Fisher Funeral Home, Portsmouth.
