Fred S. Bertsch III's letter (``Food-stamp largess,'' Oct. 8) did not say it all. Recently while shopping at the local seafood market, I was distracted by a young man's dash into the market. Breathlessly, he ordered lobster tails, paying with food stamps, and rushed away. Acutely aware that my tax money was hard at work helping to feed the hungry, I lost my appetite, made no purchase and departed wishing that Nov. 5 would arrive earlier than usual.
