Earl Leon Baum, 70, of O'Neal Lane, died Tuesday, Oct. 29, 1996, in Albemarle Hospital.
He was the son of the late Samuel T. and Mary Mizelle Baum and the husband of Mary O'Neal Baum of the home. Mr. Baum was a retired carpenter, served in the Merchant Marine and was a member of Coinjock Baptist Church.
Besides his wife, Mr. Baum is survived by a son, Benjamin Earl Baum of Hillsville, Va. and a sister, Carrie Gartman of North Carolina.
A memorial service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday in Sharon United Methodist Church, Poplar Branch, N.C., by the Rev. William Presnell and the Rev. Hope Vickers. Twiford's Memorial Chapel, Elizabeth City, is handling arrangements.
