Harvey Orville Nupp, 92, of Newark, Ohio, died Oct. 28, 1996, at LPN Health Care Facility of Newark.
He was born July 8, 1904, in DuBois, Pa., to William Harvey Nupp and Laura S. (Coffman) Nupp, both deceased. Mr. Nupp was a resident of Norfolk for 39 years. Prior to his retirement, Mr. Nupp was in management with Rose Co. Stores, Inc. and was in management for 27 years with McCrory's Stores. He was a longtime member of the First Lutheran Church of Norfolk, Christ Evangelical Lutheran Church in Heath, and a 62-year member of Masonic Order, Blue Lodge, Bellefonte, Pa.
Mr. Nupp was also predeceased by his wife, Marie Alice (Shirk) Nupp in 1988, and two sisters. He is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Alice Marie Nupp Meagher and William D. Meagher; three grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held on Sunday, Nov. 3, at 2 p.m. in Martin Luther Lutheran Church, Youngstown, Ohio. No calling hours will be observed. Family interment will be held at The Tod Homestead Cemetery, Youngstown, Ohio. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice Home Care of Central Ohio, 1435 W. Main St., Newark, Ohio, 43055, or to Martin Luther Lutheran Church. Funeral arrangements are being handled by Criss/Kirkpatrick Funeral Chapel, Newark.
