Ruby ``Jean'' Smith Johnson, of the 1000 block of Widgeon Road, died Oct. 29, 1996.
Born in Spartanburg, S.C., she was the widow of Herman C. Johnson.
Survivors include a daughter, Toni I. Overton of Virginia Beach; a son, Terry A. Johnson of Silver Spring, Md.; a sister, Cornelia Clyburn of Norwalk, Conn.; two grandchildren; and a host of relatives and friends.
A graveside service will be conducted at 1:30 p.m. Friday in Woodlawn Memorial Garden, Norfolk, by the Rev. Arthur Mae Lawson. The family will be at 557 Chancery Lane, Virginia Beach. Community Funeral Home, Norfolk Chapel, is handling arrangements.
