MARGARET W. HOLDER

Mrs. Margaret O. Wood Holder, 70, beloved wife, mother and grandmother, of the 1100 block of Weeksville Road, died Tuesday, Oct. 29, 1996, at Sentara Norfolk General Hospital.

She was a native of Charlotte, N.C., a bookkeeper at ADT (Atlantic Security Systems) and a member of Salem Baptist Church. She was the daughter of the late Andrew and Ruby Bryson Wood and the wife of Doyle H. Holder of the home.

Besides her husband, Mrs. Holder is survived by a daughter, Ramona Ferguson of Virginia Beach; two sons, Harold M. Holder of Sligo, N.C., William D. Holder of Moyock, N.C.; a sister, Dorothy Mackey of Charlotte, N.C.; six grandchildren, Kellie and Keith Holder, Cindi James, Lisa Eure, Brian and Pam Ferguson; five great-grandchildren, Calli B. James, Britney Holder, Brandon and Tanner Ewell, and Destinee Ferguson.

A funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday in Salem Baptist Church with the Rev. James Harrington. The family will receive friends at Twiford's Memorial Chapel, Elizabeth City, from 7 to 8:30 p.m. today. ``To be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord.''
