William Curtis Everett, 85, of Holiday Island, died Wednesday Oct. 30, 1996, in Guardian Care, Elizabeth City.
Born in Norfolk, he was the widower of Mary Estelle Steele Everett. He was a member of Chapel on the Sound, Holiday Island. He retired as a Coast Guard chief with 22 years service. He was employed by Virginia Materials Corp.
Survivors include two sons, Richard A. Everett, William R. Everett, both of Holiday Island; three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his parents, Maggie and Curtis William Everett.
A graveside service will be held at 3 p.m. Friday in Cedar Wood Cemetery, Hertford. Swindell Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
