Dare County investigators are looking into two cottage break-ins in Duck and on Hatteras Island.
The first occurred early Sunday morning at a cottage in Mirlo Beach in Rodanthe. Six surfboards and eight wetsuits were taken from underneath the house. The property is valued at $4,300.
The second incident occurred on Shearwater Drive in Duck. Appliances and electronic equipment valued at $530 were taken from the home.
Anyone with any information on these crimes is urged to call the Dare County Sheriff's Office at 473-3481.
