Dare County native Doug Price said he wants regular citizens to get involved in the political process, no matter what their party affiliation.
``The Democratic government has been in (control) too long,'' Price said. ``When you're in that long, you start gaining power. Power corrupts - absolutely.''
Price, who recently found out his wife is expecting twins, said he is determined to keep kids away from drugs and alcohol.
``The only way we can deal with this is to get everyone involved,'' he said, ``by designing a program that is realistic and workable involving the community, civic groups, clergy, everybody.'' ILLUSTRATION: Photo
