As we head into the final days of this presidential campaign, I challenge each voter to ask, ``Who do I trust to lead us into the 21st century?''
Do you trust:
Someone who sells out our nation's interest to foreign contributors, who protested on foreign soil against his country while it was at war, who puts American troops under foreign command?
Someone who promised to ``end welfare as we know it,'' then fought meaningful reform relentlessly, including two presidential vetoes; who promised a war on drugs, then watched idly as drug use by our nation's children skyrocketed, who says he would inhale an illegal drug if given another opportunity, who appoints a surgeon general who calls for the legalization of drugs?
Someone who supports violent, unrestricted ninth-month abortion, who promised a middle-class tax cut, then forced the largest tax increase in history, who promised to fight gasoline tax increases, then raised them 4.3 cents per gallon?
Someone who promised to balance the budget, then vetoed the first balanced budget in 26 years, someone who promises ``the most ethical administration in the history of the Republic,'' only to watch his friends and appointees indicted, convicted, fired, censured or forced to resign because of criminal or ethical lapses?
After asking yourself the above questions, I think you should ask one more: Do I trust this individual to lead our country into the 21st century?
I believe we have a duty to elect a president who will return integrity, responsibility and trust to the White House.
Let's elect a team that will return moral leadership to the White House. Let's elect a team that has a proven record and can be counted on to keep its promises: Bob Dole and Jack Kemp.
