James Edward Williams, 32, of the 1000 block of Liston Lane, died Oct. 30, 1996, in Maryview Hospital.
A native of Portsmouth, he was a member of New Bethel Baptist Church, Portsmouth.
Survivors include his parents, Mary Ann Williams and Edward Williams of Portsmouth; a sister, Denise M. Scott of Portsmouth; three brothers, Benjamin Williams, Michael Williams and Antonio Williams, all of Portsmouth; three nieces, Latisha Scott, Kimberly Scott and Denise Scott, all of Portsmouth; two goddaughters, LaToya Freeman and Tia Ciara Jones; a sister-in-law, Rosalyn Williams, and a brother-in-law, Anthony Scott, both of Portsmouth; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and other relatives and friends.
A funeral will be conducted at 1:30 p.m. Monday in New Bethel Baptist Church, Portsmouth, by the Rev. James M. Whitaker. Burial will be in Roosevelt Memorial Gardens, Chesapeake.
