JAMES E. WILLIAMS

James Edward Williams, 32, of the 1000 block of Liston Lane, died Oct. 30, 1996, in Maryview Hospital.

A native of Portsmouth, he was a member of New Bethel Baptist Church, Portsmouth.

Survivors include his parents, Mary Ann Williams and Edward Williams of Portsmouth; a sister, Denise M. Scott of Portsmouth; three brothers, Benjamin Williams, Michael Williams and Antonio Williams, all of Portsmouth; three nieces, Latisha Scott, Kimberly Scott and Denise Scott, all of Portsmouth; two goddaughters, LaToya Freeman and Tia Ciara Jones; a sister-in-law, Rosalyn Williams, and a brother-in-law, Anthony Scott, both of Portsmouth; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and other relatives and friends.

A funeral will be conducted at 1:30 p.m. Monday in New Bethel Baptist Church, Portsmouth, by the Rev. James M. Whitaker. Burial will be in Roosevelt Memorial Gardens, Chesapeake. Viewing will begin at noon today in Corprew Funeral Home. The body will be taken to the church at noon Monday. ILLUSTRATION: Photo
