Blannie Pierce Davis, 80, of the St. John Community, Route One, died Saturday Nov. 2, 1996, in Pitt County Memorial Hospital, Greenville.
Born in Hertford County, she was the widow of A.J. (Coby) Davis. She was a retired lunchroom worker for Hertford County Schools and a member of Zion Grove Baptist Church.
Survivors include her daughters, Joyce Smith and Shirley James, both of Silver Spring, Md., Sylvia Bazemore of Upper Marlboro, Md., Christine Durham of Hyattsville, Md., and Sherry Ransome of Windsor; four sons, Oswald Davis, DuPont Davis, John Davis and Dwight Davis, all of Ahoskie; 14 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
A funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday in Zion Grove Baptist Church by the Rev. Lebron Britt Jr. and the Rev. Elbert Lee, pastor. Burial will be in the family cemetery. Reynolds Funeral Home Inc. is handling arrangements.
