Mary Marjorie Meiggs, 72, formerly of the 4000 block of Barger St., died Nov. 3, 1996.
A native of Clearwater, Fla., she was born on Dec. 11, 1923, the daughter of the late Charles Edward Meiggs and Ida Sykes Meiggs. She was preceded in death by a brother, Charles Edward Meiggs Jr.
She is survived by a nephew, G.R. Meiggs of Chesapeake.
A graveside service will be held on Wednesday at 2 p.m. in Chesapeake Memorial Gardens. Twiford Colonial Chapel, Great Bridge, is handling arrangements.
