Jeffrey Wayne DeBaere, 34, died Saturday, Oct. 26, 1996, in a hospital in Amarillo, Texas.
He was employed by Ritchie Curbow Construction Company of Newport News for the last two years.
Survivors include his father and stepmother, Dan and Betty DeBaere of Norfolk; a brother, James DeBaere; two sisters, Cathy Prosser and Susan DeBaere; and a niece and nephew, Michelle and Micheal Prosser, all of Amarillo.
Funeral services and interment were held Oct. 30 in Amarillo. Memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.
