Thelma Murrell Broughton, 83, of the 1700 block of Leckie St., died Nov. 3, 1996, in Chesapeake.
A native of Portsmouth, she was a member of Portsmouth Christian Church.
Survivors include her husband, William ``Joe'' H. Broughton; two daughters, JoAnne Prince and her husband, Harold of Portsmouth, Debbie Todd and her husband, David of Portsmouth; five grandchildren, Vicki, Chris, Todd, Meredith, Eric; and nine great-grandchildren.
A funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. Wednesday in Portsmouth Christian Church by the Rev. Richard Laslo. Burial will be in Olive Branch Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Sturtevant Funeral Home, Portsmouth Blvd. Chapel, today from 7 to 8 p.m. Memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
