Eva Tucker Arrington, 68, of the 300 block of Tidewater Drive, died Saturday, Nov. 2, 1996, in Sentara Norfolk General Hospital.
She was a native of South Norfolk, the daughter of Lloyd and Helen Felton Tucker and the widow of Fred Arrington. Mrs. Arrington was a retired dietician for the Norfolk Public Schools. She was a member of St. Mark R.Z.U.A., Young Terrace Civic Association and Daughters of Elks Beaulah Temple (NU)4. She also competed in the Norfolk Senior Olympics.
Survivors include three brothers, James Tucker, Columbus A. Austin Jr. and Matthew L. Austin Sr. She is also survived by a host of nieces and nephews, among them a devoted niece, Joyce A. Coley.
A funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Thursday in St. Mark R.Z.U.A. by the Rev. Ben Thomas. Burial will be in Roosevelt Memorial Park. Viewing will be from 2 to 8 p.m. Wednesday in Riddick Funeral Service. The body will be placed in church at 10 a.m. Thursday. The family will be at the funeral home from 6 to 7 p.m. Wednesday.
