MCPO Lowell D. Craig, U.S. Navy (ret.), 59, of the 4400 block of Hinsdale St., died Nov. 3, 1996, in his residence.
Born in La Follette, Tenn., he was a retired master chief petty officer of the U.S. Navy with 21 years service and a veteran of the Vietnam War. He also was a proprietor of Norfolk Industrial Instruments.
Survivors include his wife, Margaret A. Craig; a daughter, Tammy Craig of Virginia Beach; three sons, Barry L. Craig of Virginia Beach, Kenneth Craig of Lorain, Ohio, and Timothy Craig of Stafford, Va.; four sisters, Sylvia Caussealey of Crawfordville, Fla., Mildred Davis of Oak Ridge, Tenn., Marjorie Robbins of La Follette, Janice Craig of Jacksboro, Tenn.; two brothers, Leslie Craig of Fairfax, Va., Dwight Craig of Morristown, Tenn.; four grandsons and a granddaughter; and aunts, Hazel Shelby and Ruby Smith, both of New Tazewell, Tenn. He was preceded in death by his brother, Doyle Craig of Houston, Texas; as well as his parents, Clayton and Bernice Craig of La Follette.
A funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday in Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Bayside Chapel, by David E. Schill. Burial will be in Woodlawn Memorial Gardens.
