Annie Mae Cowell, of the 300 block of Providence Road, died Nov. 2, 1996, in Chesapeake General Hospital.
Born in Portsmouth, she was the widow of Willie Cowell. Mrs. Cowell was a domestic and a member of the Temple of Faith Love Center, Chesapeake, and was the oldest member of the Mother's Board.
Survivors include her three daughters, Lillian Sitney, Sarah Bonney, both of Chesapeake, Lovie T. Robinson of Trenton, N.J.; three sons, William Cowell, Ernest Cowell and Percy Cowell of Chesapeake; 42 grandchildren; and a host of great-grandchildren and other relatives and friends.
A funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. Thursday in Temple of Faith Love Center, 2709 Campostella Road, by the Rev. James B. Williams. Burial will be in Roosevelt Memorial Park. The remains will be ready for viewing at 3 p.m. Wednesday. The family will assemble for the procession at noon at the residence. Carlos A. Howard Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
