RAYMOND LAUER

Raymond Lauer, 73, of the 5600 block of Anthony Road, died Sunday, Nov. 3, 1996, in a Virginia Beach nursing home.

Mr. Lauer was a native of Shamokin, Pa. He was a veteran of World War II and was a retired chief of the U.S. Navy after 21 years of honorable service. He was also a member of the Fleet Reserve.

Mr. Lauer was preceded in death by his wife, Annie K. Lauer. He is survived by a daughter-in-law, Sue Amory of Virginia Beach; two grandchildren, Pamela Amory-Folkes of Virginia Beach, Dr. Charles V. Amory Jr. and his wife, Cindy, of Louisville, Ky.; two great-grandsons, Charles Victor Amory III and Ian Scott Amory, both of Louisville, Ky.; a niece, Dorothy Eadry Centolanza of Newberg, N.Y.; two great nieces, Shannon and Maura Eadry, both of Florida; and several other nieces and nephews.

A graveside service with military honors will be conducted at 11 a.m. Thursday in Olive Branch Cemetery by Dr. Keith Almond. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8 p.m. Wednesday and other times at the Amory residence, 5012 Bellamy Manor Drive, Virginia Beach.
