Ione Wilshin, 88, of the Pinewood Retirement Inn, died Nov. 4, 1996, at her residence.
Born in Portsmouth, she retired after 40 years as a teacher with Norfolk Public Schools. She taught at Ocean View Elementary and Granby High School. She was a member of Miles Memorial United Methodist Church.
Survivors include a cousin, William Scrimgeour and his wife, June, of Edgewater, Md.
A funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday in Miles Memorial United Methodist Church by the Rev. Morris Bennett. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to Miles Memorial United Methodist Church Altar Guild or the Fellowship Class. Smith and Williams Funeral Home, Norfolk Chapel, is handling arrangements.
