Ann Marie Dillon Werz, 75, of the 900 block of Armfield Circle, died Nov. 3, 1996, in Hillhaven Convalescent Home after a lengthy illness.
Mrs. Werz was a native of Wilmington, Del., and lived in Norfolk for 50 years. She was the widow of Thomas B. Werz. Mrs. Werz was a member of Our Lady of Victory Chapel, Norfolk Naval Base, where she served as president of the Altar Guild. Those who knew her will remember her for the volunteer work she did for Our Lady of Victory Chapel.
Survivors include two daughters, Ann Marie Horner of Roanoke, Va., Mary Virginia Petricka of Fairfax, Va.; two sons, Thomas Barraud Werz Jr. of Mechanicsville, Va., Edward Charles Werz of Raleigh, N.C.; and three grandchildren, Thomas, Jane and Cari and a host of dear friends.
A graveside service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Thursday in Woodlawn Memorial Gardens by the Rev. Peter A. Oddo. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 7 to 9 p.m. in the funeral apartments. Memorial contributions may be made to Our Lady of Victory Chapel, 1635 Morris St., Naval Station Norfolk, Va. 23511-2855.
