Robert Rosenbaum, 80, of the 1400 block of Melrose Parkway, a retired pawn broker with Littmans Pawn Shop, died Nov. 3, 1996, in a local hospital.
Mr. Rosenbaum was a native of Norfolk. He was the widower of Rebecca Fekete Rosenbaum and was a member of Congregation Beth El in Norfolk. Mr. Rosenbaum, affectionately known as "Mr. Littman," served at Littman's Pawn Shop for 47 years before retiring in 1994. He was a veteran of World War II, serving in the U.S. Navy and was a member of The Jewish War Veterans.
Survivors include a daughter, Marsha Barham of Norfolk; a son, Ronald Mark Rosenbaum of Texas; a sister, Annette Goldman of Norfolk; and three grandchildren, Bryan David Rosenbaum, Aaron Michael Barham and Rebecca Lynn Barham.
A graveside service will be conducted at 3 p.m. today in Forest Lawn Cemetery by Rabbi Arthur Ruberg and Cantor Jacob Tessler. The family will be at 1438 Melrose Parkway, Norfolk. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to The Alzheimer's Association-Hampton Roads Chapter, 20 Koger Executive Center, Norfolk, Va. 23502; American Heart Association, 360 Southport Circle, Virginia Beach, Va. 23452; or the American Diabetes Association, 101 Plume St., Norfolk, Va. 23510. H.D. Oliver Funeral Apartments Norfolk Chapel is handling arrangements.
