HOLIDAY CARE PACKAGES TO BOSNIA: Holiday care packages of 70 pounds or more can be shipped free to American troops serving in Bosnia. The Defense Logistics Agency is accepting donations but requires that contents be approved in advance. Packages will be divided among the more than 10,000 American troops expected to be in Bosnia as part of Operation Joint Endeavor. Donors should call 1-800-841-0937 for approval, and to get instructions on packing and shipping goods. Donations cannot be sent by the logistics agency to specific individuals or units.

PARTNERSHIP FOR PEACE EXERCISE: NATO/Partnership for Peace exercise Cooperative Aura '96 will be conducted Nov. 12-15 at Norfolk Naval Air Station. The crisis management exercise is designed to familiarize partnership nations with the NATO decision-making process. It involves 27 senior officers from 15 partnership countries, including the Czech Republic, Finland, Hungary and Slovenia.

COAST GUARD CREW TO RECEIVE AWARD: Lt. Robin Kortus and Petty Officer 2nd class Dennis Shoenwether will receive the Air Medal for Meritorious Achievement in Aerial Flight from the Department of Transportation at 1 p.m. Nov. 14 in Washington. The air crew rescued six crew members from the sailing vessel Night Sound, which was taking on water 450 miles east of North Carolina's Outer Banks.

SUPPLY CENTER HOSTS BUSINESS FAIR: The Navy's Fleet and Industrial Supply Center, in cooperation with the National Contract Management Association, will host a regional business opportunity fair from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Nov. 13 in Norfolk Naval Air Station's Hangar LP-2. Businesses will display their wares to give federal procurement officials a chance to find out more about them. For more information, call 445-2525.

FLOWERS FOR VETERANS IN FOREIGN LANDS: For a small fee, the American Battle Monuments Commission will place flowers at the gravesite of any American killed and buried in a foreign cemetery, and send a snapshot of the site back to the donor. EXHIBIT HONORS JAPANESE AMERICANS: A special exhibit honoring the service of Japanese Americans in the Pacific during both World War II and the Allied occupation of Japan opens at the MacArthur Memorial Friday. ``American Patriots: Japanese Americans in the Pacific, 1941-1952'' portrays the story of the Japanese Americans' service in the U.S. armed forces. CHANGE OF COMMAND

Lt. Cmdr. Robert Schlegel relieves Lt. Cmdr. Neil Parrott as commanding officer of the Atlantic Tomahawk Afloat Planning System. Schlegel reports from the Norfolk-based guided missile destroyer Scott, where he was chief engineer. Parrott reports to the destroyer Caron, where he becomes executive officer.
