Since it opened in late August, the exhibit - which has two components, ``Faberge in America'' and ``The Lillian Thomas Pratt Collection of Faberge'' - has attracted more than 116,000 visitors. The museum had anticipated 100,000 to 150,000 patrons.
On view are lavish items from the workshops of Peter Carl Faberge, turn-of-the-century goldsmith and jeweler to the Russian royal court. Included are 15 imperial Easter eggs and about 400 other century-old objects.
These rare items are on loan from significant American collections, such as those amassed by Malcolm Forbes and Lillian Thomas Pratt.
Admission is $10 for adults, $6 for youths and students; free for museum members and ages 12 and younger. A $2 handling fee per ticket will be charged.
