Mary Contouris, 93, of the 3900 block of Two Oaks Road, died Saturday, Nov. 9, 1996, in Chesapeake.
A native of Izmir, Turkey, she was a retired seamstress and the widow of George Contouris.
Survivors include a daughter, Dianna Spellos of Westchester, N.Y.; a son, Edmund Contouris of New York City; seven grandchildren, including Jamie G. Contouris of Portsmouth; and nine great-grandchildren.
The remains are being shipped from Sturtevant Funeral Home, Portsmouth Blvd. Chapel, to Stamatiades Funeral Home in Long Island City, N.Y., for services and burial.
