SALLIE D. GOODRICH

Sallie Doughtie Goodrich departed from this life Nov. 9, 1996, to be with the Lord. She was a lifelong resident of Suffolk and the widow of Wallace Goodrich.

Born in Gates, N.C., Mrs. Goodrich was a member of Assembly of God of Suffolk and ministered in nursing homes and hospitals.

Survivors include her daughter, Mamie Erlene Wilkins of Virginia Beach; two sisters, Nancy McPherson and Eunice Bradley of Norfolk; three grandchildren, James A. Wilkins of Virginia Beach, Sally E. Hicks of Chesapeake and Michael D. Wilkins of Charlotte, N.C.; nine great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.

A funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday in Harrell Funeral Home Chapel by the Rev. William Hawkins. Burial will be in Cedar Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends in the funeral home from 7 to 8 p.m. today and at other times at the home of Georgia Miles, 505 W. Constance Road.
