Lawrence Davis Sr., 95, died Nov. 9, 1996 in the Elks National Home in Bedford.
Mr. Davis, a Protestant, was born in Georgia and was the widower of Sue S. Davis. He had been a restaurant owner. He was a member of Ocean View Masonic Lodge (NU)335 and Elks Lodge (NU)38, Norfolk.
Survivors include two sons, Lawrence Davis Jr. and wife Jerry of Virginia Beach and J. Bentley Davis and wife Carolyn of Huntingtown, Md.; two grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
A graveside service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Tuesday in Forest Lawn Cemetery by Dr. Keith Almond of Community United Methodist Church of Virginia Beach. Friends may join the family at Smith & Williams Funeral Home, Kempsville Chapel, from 7 to 8:30 p.m. today.
