EUGENE T. CONTRADA

Eugene T. Contrada, 69, of the 400 block of W. Pine St., died Thursday, Nov. 7, 1996, in his residence.

The son of the late Amedeo J. and Florence Serra Contrada, he was born in Norfolk and was a retired fabric designer for Burlington Industries. He was a member of Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, Burlington Moose Lodge, Greensboro Gem & Mineral Club and Central North Carolina Mineral Club. He was a World War II and Korean Conflict Air Force veteran.

Survivors include his wife, Jerry Graham Contrada; a son, Scott Contrada of Graham; two sisters, Antoinette Hobokan of Houston, Texas, and Barbara C. Parker of Lusby, Md.; a brother, Vincent A. Contrada of Naples, Fla.; and a granddaughter. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Catherine Ricci Contrada.

A funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. today in Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church by Father Juniper Alwell. Burial will be in Rowan Memorial Park, Salisbury, N.C. McClure Funeral Home, Graham, is handling arrangements. Memorials may be made to Hospice of Alamance/Caswell, P.O. Box 2122, Burlington, N.C. 27216.
