Lillian C. Merricks, 75, of Emporia, widow of Fulton L. Merricks, died Nov. 10, 1996.
She is survived by three daughters, Sandra M. Sabo, Juanita M. Elmore, both of Emporia, Wanda M. Edwards of Sedley; a son, Roger A. Merricks of Emporia; four sisters, Helen Larson of Missoula, Mont., Harriett Larghe of Ottertail, Minn., Ida Larson of Pelican Rapids, Minn., and Evelyn Schoenecker of Fargo, N.D.; two brothers, Bill Hanson of Bullhead City, Ariz., and Mickey Hanson of Columbus, Ga.; 10 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Wednesday in Owen Funeral Home, Jarratt. A funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday in St. John Lutheran Church, Emporia. Interment will be in Emporia Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be made to St. John Lutheran Church, 1351 W. Atlantic Ave., Emporia, Va. 23847.
