Ralph Pretlow, 68, of the 2900 block of Sunrise Ave., died Nov. 9, 1996.
A roofing contractor for R. Pretlow and Sons, Mr. Pretlow was born in Norfolk. He was a member of First United Presbyterian Church, Norfolk, where he was a a church trustee. He was also a member of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity.
Survivors include his wife, Patricia H. Pretlow of Chesapeake; daughters, Patricia Pretlow-Strickland and Stephanie Pretlow-Thweatt; sons, Ralph Pretlow III and Roderick Harold Pretlow; his mother, Annie Pretlow; sister, Marian ``Mena'' Pretlow; brother, R. Neil Pretlow; six grandchildren; daughters-in-law and sons-in-law; a host of nieces and nephews, relatives and many dear friends.
He was predeceased by his father, Ralph Pretlow Sr.
A funeral will be conducted at noon Thursday in First United Presbyterian Church, Norfolk, by the Rev. Ditawa Nianda. Burial will be at noon Friday in Roselawn Memory Gardens, Glen Allen, Va. Pretlow and Sons Funeral Home, Chesapeake, is in charge.
