Eileen Mae Davenport, of the 1000 block of S. Lakeland Drive, died Dec. 27, 1996, in a local hospital.
Mrs. Davenport was preceded in death by her husband, John Wesley Davenport, and a son, William Red Davenport.
Survivors include four daughters, Eileen Mae Simpkins of Norfolk, Marleen Elizabeth Israel of Virginia Beach, Jacqueline Lynne Sword of Virginia Beach and Rose Elaine Britt of Norfolk; two brothers, George Elledge of Alabama, and Fred Elledge of California; four sisters, June Russell of California, Joy Scheuren of Maryland, Delight Royce of Israel and Laura Elledge of Virginia; eight grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 p.m. today in Kellum Funeral Home, Bonney Road Chapel. A chapel service will be conducted at the funeral home Thursday at 1 p.m. Interment will follow in Woodlawn Memorial Gardens.
