Grace Virginia Mathias, 97, of Desert Road, died Dec. 31, 1996.
Miss Mathias was born in Gates County. She was a homemaker. She was the daughter of the late Martin S. and Mrs. Ophelia Ellis Mathias.
Surviving are a sister, Georgia Ella Jones of Charlotte, N.C., and several nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday in Parker's United Methodist Church Cemetery by the Rev. Cameron Currin. Friends may join the family today from 7 to 8:30 p.m. in Miller Funeral Home, Gatesville. The family will assemble at the grave Thursday at 10:45 a.m.
