Jessie Elizabeth Harvey, 100, of the Norfolk Health Care Center, died Dec. 28, 1996, in her home.
Born in Holt County, N.C., she was the widow of William B. Harvey and was preceded in death by her mother, Annie Parker and father, George McCoy. She was a retired domestic worker.
Survivors include three granddaughters, Joy C. Harvey of Norfolk, Crystal Harvey-Corprew of Virginia Beach, Juanita E. Harvey of Lorton, Va.; three grandsons, Anthony W. Harvey of Norfolk, Wendell E. Harvey of Washington, D.C., Gregory Collins of Philadelphia, Pa.; two daughters-in-law, Ruth D. Harvey of Norfolk, Clara Harvey of Virginia Beach; four great-grandchildren; nephews, nieces and a host of friends and family.
A funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. Friday in Hale Funeral Home by the Rev. Virgil Corprew. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery. The family will be assembling at the 500 block of Fenchurch St. for the procession at noon Friday.
