Nancy Lawrence Wallander, 74, died Dec. 31, 1996, in the Naval Medical Center, Portsmouth.
Mrs. Wallander was the daughter of the late Lewis and Alice Lawrence and was born in Washington, D.C. She was a member of the Huguenot Society of Virginia and was an Episcopalian. She served with the Red Cross for numerous years.
Mrs. Wallander is survived by her husband, Theodore ``T.W.'' Wallander of the home; two daughters, Jean Marie Wallander of Las Vegas, Nev. and Karen Wallander Bossert of Reno, Nev.; a son, Bruce Lawrence Wallander of Las Vegas; a brother, Carroll Lawrence of Arlington, Va. and three grandchildren, Leif D. Wallander and Melissa A. Bradley of Las Vegas and Shelby M. Bossert of Reno.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made to the Fisher House, c/o Loretta Lovelace, 852 Williamson Drive, Portsmouth, Va. 23708 or to the American Cancer Society. Cremation Society of Virginia, Tidewater Office, is in charge.
