Willie James Risper died Dec. 29, 1996, at home.
Born in Woodland, N.C., he was a housing authority manager and a member of Jerusalem Baptist Church, Woodland.
Survivors include his wife, Beverly B. Risper; a son, Willie Justin Risper of Hackensack; parents, Mr. and Mrs. Grady Risper of Woodland; and three sisters, Clara Alston of Hackensack, Joyce R. White of Woodland, and Wanda Risper of Murfreesboro, N.C.
A funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday in Jerusalem Baptist Church, Woodland, by the Rev. W.R. Ashe. Burial will be in Risper-White Memorial Gardens. Family and friends will be received at the home of Joseph and Joyce White. Reynolds Funeral Home, Ahoskie, is in charge.
