REGINALD A. LEWIS SR.

Reginald A. ``Red'' Lewis Sr., 35, of the 800 block of W. 36th St., died Dec. 25, 1996, in Sentara Bayside Hospital, Virginia Beach.

Born in Portsmouth, he was a janitor for Raymond Crowell Janitorial Services and a member of Mount Calvary Missionary Baptist Church, Kansas City, Kan. Mr. Lewis was a U.S. Marine Corps veteran.

Survivors include three sons, Reginald A. Lewis Jr., James Ivan Lewis, Steven J. Lewis, all of Philadelphia; mother, Jeanette M. Lewis, and father, Nathaniel I. Lewis of Kansas City; a brother, Carlton E. Lewis Sr. of Kansas City; paternal grandparents, Benjamin F. Lewis Jr. of Kansas City; other mother, Linda M. Potts of Portsmouth; god mother, Jeanette Lawson of Washington, D.C.; loving and devoted fiancee, Cheryl Belle of Virginia Beach; sister-in-law, Sheryl M. Lewis of Kansas City; four nieces; a nephew; god-grandfather, Oscar Brown Jr. of Brooklyn, N.Y.; best friend and boss, Raymond Crowell of Norfolk; 10 aunts; six uncles; a great-uncle; four great-aunts; a great-great-aunt and a host of cousins and friends.

A funeral will be conducted at noon Saturday in Twine Memorial Holy Temple Church, Portsmouth, by Elder Michael Porter. Burial will be in Oaklawn Cemetery, Hampton. Viewing at Corprew Funeral Home will begin at noon Friday. The body will be taken to the church at 11 a.m. Saturday. The family will be at 4001 Hailey Court, Chesapeake, and will assemble there for the funeral service.
