EMMA P. BOND

Emma Harriet Pruden Bond, 93, of the 600 block of Virginia Road, died Jan. 1, 1997, in her home.

Mrs. Bond was born in Boykins, Va. The daughter of the late John H. and Mary Woodard Pruden, she was a homemaker, a member of Edenton Baptist Church and the Daughters of the American Revolution. She was the wife of the late William Edmund Bond.

Surviving are one daughter, Harriet Bond Small of Edenton; two sons, William Edmund Bond Jr. of Kill Devil Hills, N.C., and Linwood Darden Bond of Atlanta; nine grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday in Beaver Hill Cemetery by the Rev. Jane Love. Friends may join the family at the residence. Miller Funeral Home, Gatesville, is in charge of arrangements.

Memorial contributions may be made to one's favorite charity.
