James Sherbert ``Buff'' Gray, 30, died Dec. 31, 1996, in Southampton County, Va.
A member of Oakland Christian Church, he was a roadie for Burdette Station and worked with the breeding department of Carroll Foods.
Survivors include his parents, Ray Mack and Rita Kay Doughty Gray of Carrsville, Va.; a sister and brother-in-law, Jennifer G. and Edward L. Ruffin of Carrsville; a brother, Jason E. Gray of Black Creek, Va.; maternal grandmother, Laura C. Doughty of Suffolk; a niece, Jessica S. Ruffin of Carrsville; and nephew, Adam J. Gray of Black Creek.
A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday in Holly Lawn Cemetery by the Rev. Ed Sunday-Winters. Friends may join the family in Harrell Funeral Home from 7 to 8 p.m. today and other times in the home of Mr. and Mrs. Ray Gray, 3167 Burdette Road, Carrsville.
